Flexible Work Hours

Job Brief
- As the Automation Engineer, you will become an expert at Remotual’s software and acquire a deep understanding of the technology driving our solutions
- You will join a global cross functional team to plan, implement and execute all aspects of quality and testing, which includes manual and automated test cases
- The ideal candidate would have some experience working as a freelancer or in a start-up environment with US Clients. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality of existing and new features through manual and automated testing, utilizing continuous integration techniques where applicable
- Utilize APIs, Power BI Reports, and Power Automate to develop user-facing apps and automate web forms
- Create test scripts, materials, and regression test packs to test new and modified software or services. Specify requirements for environment, data, resources, and tools
- Evaluate and plan regression testing for new releases of third-party/cloud-based solutions and client-specific configurations or customizations
- Collaborate closely with team members to assist with and drive test automation throughout all testing phases (e.g., unit, system, integration, and regression)
- Advocate for Quality Assurance best practices across the team and deliverables
- Analyze and report test activities and results using industry best practices aligned with the company’s reporting and metrics requirements
- Develop test strategies, test plans, test cases, test coverage, and test execution reports to support Quality Assurance in testing application and solution changes
- Configure triggers, actions, and filters within Zapier to ensure seamless integration between different applications and platforms
- Conduct thorough testing of Zapier workflows to validate functionality and accuracy
- Create user guides and provide training to team members on using and maintaining Zapier automations
- Design and implement automated workflows using Zapier to streamline processes and eliminate manual tasks
- Automate software testing to meet industry standards
- Manage source control, configuration management, and build deployment activities
- Develop, maintain, optimize, and deploy Power Automate flows, Power BI dashboards, and Power Apps
- Research and implement improvements to the framework build, packaging, and deployment processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of successful performance in a Test Engineer role or equivalent relevant work experience
- Experience in both Automated and Manual Testing
- Proficiency in API Testing
- Independent experience in NFT (Non-Functional Testing) and Regression Testing Suite
- Familiarity with Agile Development Methodologies
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
- Works well as a team player, able to collaborate effectively within a team and with individuals from diverse backgrounds and areas within the organization
- Experience with automating applications and Google Suite
- Proficient in SQL, BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) Frameworks, Azure DevOps, GIT, Selenium, Zapier, and API
- Demonstrates strong analytical ability and critical thinking skills
- Takes a logical, analytical approach to problem-solving and pays close attention to detail
- Exhibits effective oral and written communication skills
- Displays an innovative approach to problem-solving
- Capable of solving complex testing needs and driving overall solution quality
- Strong focus on quality delivery and customer satisfaction; holds oneself to high standards of delivery
